the double page spread that suits my genre im thinking of having 3 different photos whilst having a box with interview questions and a large text with the band and subheading saying what the interview is going to be about. I will take the photos in a kind of sepia out look so it looks older and more defined

The kind of topic I am planning to use is the idea of a new album where they tell us how they came up with the ideas for the songs and how long it took them to make it also I will ask because I have made a scenario where there is a new bassist and we will ask if he is any good and whether the public like him. I will also include a sub section hinting of a new tour to play the new album

Out of the three double page spread examples I like the massive title, it stands out I like the layout of the second one so I can fit more pictures in and its layout makes it look very attractive. I like the 3rd one because it features on massive photo which is what I want to do for my left side page whilst still having pictures and the interview on the right side

Also included should be competitions at the side and other thing such as social network links so you can have a say on what the article said, including if you think their new music is any good or that your are glad that there new turn is the right thing to do that is why I like article 2 because it tell you about how their band has changed and to say they can do what they want its their band

These are examples of the fonts I should include, they match the criteria of the font I am trying to acheive they have to have pointed edges and include certain speciality such as the warping of the fonts and irregular spacings between the letters

The graphics are much more defined then they were before but that is because we used much more expensive cameras but we also tampered with the focus to make it much life like

We used a variety of flash techniques to make things seem purer then they actually are and seem brighter, we also included different shot types including long shot and close up with certain backdrops added in for effect

The genre is based on alternative rock which is the genre of the band other evidence of this would be the pictures which feature keyboards and microphones and a guy holding a guitar.

They layout is the best part and very unique layout an incredible headline the red and black suit perfectly and the article looks tiny compared to the mass of edited pictures

The target audience is fans of My Chemical Romance as its a pretty much behind stage exclusive into their studios to see there up and coming songs and music

There are a total of 3 columns ,the picture and the 2 boxes of text

The pictures are of medium close ups and medium shots but they have been edited to give a dark olden day take to it.

Its perceived as being a rock/hard rock by the ay its set out but its really not due to it being on an alternative band

The genre of the magazine is rock as a rock band is featured on the contents page of the magazine and I also know this because some of the columns include things such as "rock star fitness". 

The target audience is fans of anyone featured in the magazine or people who like the genre, since this is an oasis special magazine they would probably be more aiming at their fans.

The layout is really professional with a thin bar along the left side give the page number and a small article explaining what is on that page, along the bottom is also other sources of entertainment such as a crosswords. There is also a contents page for the Qreview area which is for reviews of bands and music. there is a massive picture in the middle which shows the main headlining band.

They're 2 columns which both have been divided into sub columns which is divide the different types of articles they are giving

They're 26 articles on offer which is to show the audience diversity and the cater for all to get a larger amount of purchasers, they also show the special edition articles in Gold so they stand out more.

The magazine is probably perceived as being a pop rock magazine as this is what is mainly feature in this magazine as the articles say.

The photo shown is a titled long shot as the camera is aiming up to make the band look taller

The magazine which genre is based on rock/metal shows that it is as it is said because the main headliner in all 3 is bring me the horizon, you me at six and slipknot who are all well known bands of this genre, it also features information about concerts such as download and sonisphere both world renowned concerts that most rock fans love.


The main focal audience is people who like guitar and drum based music such as rock/metal and any other variant of this type they feature many of the most famous band so it tailors to all types for fans, these also include visual effects to make it suit the actual audience because if it was lay out more of a rap magazine then the right audience would not buy it

The layout is set up to show big label bands such as bring me the horizon which are well known in the music industry to try and lure people into buying the magazine they also feature special terminology such as access all areas to try and make it seem very interesting. They stick to a 3 colour rule which always seem to include black and white and then they include one primary colour to make the cover seem interesting every week

The shot type varies from medium close up to close up with the main person from the band is always standing out a lot more such as oli sykes (top right) Josh franceschi (middle) and Corey Taylor (Bottom left) all there as persuasive techniques to make people buy the magazine

What I like about it:
What I like about the magazine cover is how its designed the masthead Requiem shows that its a music college magazine as it is a word associated with Music, I downloaded a font of dafont.com called sugar death 2 because my main theme for it was to be associated with metal but I also included emophonic font for the dubstep article to make it seem techno. 

I think the way I photoshopped candidate K is really great because the background matched parts of the candidate so it really shows the skills I learned in such a short time, I added a bar code and issue number to make it seem more professional

The contents page is pretty simple so easy to follow and suits the theme

What I could improve on:
On the Magazine cover I need to work on my skills with photoshopping because the picture had a few rough edges which shows its been photoshopped and the boxes could blend better so I could have chose a better colour 

The contents page was a bit basic and I could have improved greatly in this area and I am really poor at organising boxes into areas

This was relatively easy I got the head of Jack Skellington and made the background Black and dyed his eyes red so I could easily delete the background leaving the image of only his head I then dragged it over to the head of Tom Hanks and adjusted the size appropiately
